Climber / Arborist

Lead aerial work. Pruning, removal, rigging. SRT/MRT proficient. ANSI Z133 mindset.

  • 2+ years aerial experience
  • Own climbing kit a plus
  • ISA certification supported
Most needed

Ground Crew

Run the drop zone. Rigging support, chipping, debris management, customer-facing on site.

  • No experience required, will train
  • Valid driver's license
  • Confidently and safely lift 150 lb

Seasonal / Apprentice

Learning the trade. Fire mitigation season ramps up spring through fall, room to grow into year-round.

  • Open to first-year arborists
  • Training in ANSI standards
  • Path to full-time

Fair pay

Competitive hourly based on skill and certs. Performance reviews twice a year, raises tied to growth not tenure.

Real training

ANSI A300 pruning standards and Z133 safety drilled on the job. ISA cert prep supported, exam costs reimbursed on pass.

Year-round work

The crew runs all year. Expect a winter slowdown, fewer hours and lighter weeks, but no full halt unless the weather is genuinely too bad to be outside. Pruning and fire mitigation pick up in the shoulder seasons, with storm response and removals filling the rest.

Real gear

Maintained chippers, proper rigging, PPE replaced when it wears. Where it matters, the kit holds up.

Small crew, no politics

Owner-operated. Paul Hopkins is on site. Direct feedback, fast decisions, no corporate runaround.

Insurance

Full workers' compensation and general liability coverage on every job.
